As founders of Pillow-Phonic, we have offered therapeutic pillow speakers to the marketplace since 1999 and, through our discussions with many experts and sources, have discovered that children are among our biggest fans.  Accordingly, we are initiating a program designed to comfort hospitalized, ill children and help them feel better, faster, by listening to music and other sounds in a different, non-intrusive way. 

We are aware that, at any time of day, thousands of children lie in hospital beds and rehab centers, as sadly, they are the young victims of serious medical conditions, disturbing accidents or other critical situations. The thought of their spending long days and nights in a strange environment, and understanding the anxiety that this can create in them, has led us to start the “Lull the Children” program.

Throughout the years, we have received testimonials from parents and family members regarding the positive experience their children have had when sound was placed beneath their bed pillows, having experienced evident comfort and relieve when hearing their favorite tunes, tales, and other messages of encouragement through their pillows.

"Lull the Children” is a program designed to give pillow speaker sets to children in hospitals and other pediatric care institutions everywhere, to bring to them the special gift of "music therapy." 

The Pillow-Phonic stereo speakers are nestled within a specially designed flat gel pouch which is placed under the pillow, and connected to a sound source, deliver crystal clear sounds at soft, safe volume levels, without entangling wires from uncomfortable headsets.

Each speaker set is accompanied by a digital MP3 player preloaded with programming containing music, tales and lullabies designed to reduce anxiety, make hospital stays seem shorter, and in many cases, to be used as part of alternative methods for pain, depression, and stress management.  The preloaded programming can be easily changed depending upon the preferences of each child, parent, or health care provider;  recorded messages can also  include the voices of family members and friends with uplifting messages of encouragement and support.  A child will be able to play and replay any sound track as desired, and privately listen as sounds emerge softly from the surface of his or her own pillow.  The speaker set also connects to iPods, CD and Cassette players, radio, TV, computers and more.
